Белковые факторы бактерий и эукариот, участвующие в терминации трансляции на рибосомах; у E.coli Ф.о. распознают терминирующие кодоны - RF1 узнает УАА и УАГ, RF2 - УГА и УАА, имитируя посадку аминоацил-тРНК в А-участок транслирующей рибосомы; у эукариот выявлен только 1 Ф.о. eRF, который распознает все 3 терминирующих кодона.

Разъединения факторы, ф. расцепления, ф. терминации, ф. освобождения — у бактерий и эукариот специфические белки, которые читают терминирующий кодон и вызывают разъединение конечных пептидов, останавливая формирование пептидной цепи. Терминирующие кодоны узнают следующие Р.ф.: у E. coli RF1 узнает UAA и UAG, RF2 — UGA и UAA, имитируя посадку аминоацил-тРНК в А-сайт транслирующей рибосомы ; у эукариот eRF узнает все 3 кодона.
